Wells RCMP Make Arrests In Connection With Break-ins

On July 24, 2018 members of the Wells RCMP located and arrested two individuals believed to be responsible for several break, enters and thefts to seasonal properties in the Wells, Bowron Lake and Likely areas.

Wells RCMP members located and seized a vast amount of property which is believed to have been stolen during these events. Police continue investigate these incidents so they can locate the owners of the mining, camping and outdoor related property.

Nicholas TURNER and Tania JORDANOV have both been charged with the following offences:

1 Count of Taking a Motor Vehicle without consent
1 Count of Break & Enter with intent to commit an indictable offence
2 Counts of Being in Possession of Property obtained by Crime under $5000
Police continue to investigate these matters and ask that anyone who has been the subject of a break & enter or theft to call and report the incident to Police and to provide as much detail as possible about the stolen items so investigators can return these items back to the rightful owners.

Quesnel RCMP are aware of the increase in property crime and have dedicated additional resources to combat this trend says Quesnel RCMP Detachment Commander Andrew Burton.

Although Wells and the surrounding areas rarely experience these types of crime, the rural communitues are not immune. Police remind the public to remain vigilant, report suspicious behaviour to the police and to properly document their property and ensure it is kept secure in both the Urban and Rural areas.
