Cariboo Students Ready To Shine At Canadian High School Rodeo Finals

The Cariboo will be well represented as the Canadian High School Rodeo Championships get underway today in Merritt.

Quesnel’s Denton Spiers, coming off a 13th place finish at the Nationals in Gillette, Wyoming, will compete in both the Bull Riding and the Team Roping.

Cordell Pinchbeck from Williams Lake will also be in the Bull Riding, along with Tyler Antoine from Clinton.

Jordan Monical from 100 Mile House qualified in both the Saddle Bronc and the Boys Cutting.

Forest Grove’s Jordyn Karl will compete in the Pole Bending, Briana Billy from the Lake City will be in the Girls Cutting and Ryan Roberts from Lac La Hache is in the Team Roping as well.

The Canadian Finals run through Sunday.
