UPDATE: Woman Remains In Critical Condition Following Stabbing In Quesnel

A 52-year old woman remains in critical condition in hospital following a stabbing incident over the Billy Barker Days weekend in Quesnel.

RCMP say the woman was found suffering from serious injuries at a residence on Hilborn Road on Saturday.

A 48-year old male was deceased at the scene.

The accused, 32-year old Quesnel resident Kristopher Edward Leclair, is now charged with Second Degree Murder and Attempted Murder.

He remains in custody and is due back in Supreme Court in Quesnel on Tuesday.

The North District Major Crime Unit continues to investigate.
