Quesnel Bull Rider Does Well At National High School Rodeo Finals

A Quesnel Bull Rider made it all the way to the finals and finished 13th at the National High School Rodeo Finals in Rock Springs, Wyoming.

Denton Spiers scored an 80 in his first go…one of the top scores of the entire rodeo.

He was bucked off in his second go and in the finals.

Only two Bull Riders managed to make the eight seconds in the final.

There were four other Cariboo students at the finals.

Jordan Monical from 100 Mile House was 49th in the Boys Cutting and went 0 for 2 in the Saddle Bronc.

Jordyn Karl from Forest Grove was 90th out of 178 in the Pole Bending, will a combined time of 47.83 seconds.

And Ryan Roberts from Lac La Hache and his partner were in the Team Roping.

Unfortunately they took a no time in both of their go-rounds.
