Construction has been completed on the new water treatment plant at the 108 Mile Ranch.
CRD Area G director Al Richmond says that after delays due to the fires last year, and other issues, the new went on-line last week.
The plant is designed to removed manganese from the water supply, but is not yet running at full capacity. It uses a biological medium, which takes time to build to full efficiency.
Richmond says the plant should be operating at full removal capacity in four to six weeks.
