A Quesnel Bull Rider, despite getting bucked off last night, still appears to be in pretty good shape overall at the National High School Rodeo Finals in Rock Springs, Wyoming.

Denton Spiers, thanks to an 80 in the first go, is still sitting in a tie for 9th place in the average and the top 20 will advance to tomorrow night’s short go.

Just two performances remain so it appears that he will make it.

Jordan Monical from 100 Mile House was tied for 9th in the Boys Cutting this morning with a score of 130.

He is 32nd in the average.

Ryan Roberts from Lac La Hache and his partner are back in action tonight in the Team Roping.

They took a no time in their first go.

And Jordyn Karl from Forest Grove, 62nd out of 140 after the first go in the Pole Bending, will be back in action tomorrow morning.
