District Holding Volunteer Appreciation

It was one year ago that smoke was seen rising from the ridge to the north of 100 Mile House, and tomorrow the district will be honoring the volunteers who worked so hard during last years wildfires.

The district is holding a volunteer appreciation barbecue in Centennial Park starting at noon, July 7th. In addition to the barbecue, some special presentations will be made.

100 Mile Mayor Mitch Campsall says, “We waited for a full year, and people have asked us why we waited so long, we wanted to get as close as we could to last years issue.”

All the volunteers are invited and the barbecue lunch will be served up by the mayor, council, and 100 Mile Fire/Rescue. The event happens  rain or shine in the park from noon to 3 pm.
