Brian Bettles Wins Hit to Pass at Thunder Mountain

It was a full house Friday at Williams Lake’s Thunder Mountain Speedway for the Hit to Pass, Smoke Show, and King of the Hill.

Winning the 100 lap Hit to Pass was the Lakecity’s Brian Bettles, just ahead of Gordon Bettles, who won last year. Adam Van Riesen was 3rd in a field of 11 cars.

The smoke show was won by Jeff Beck and the King of the Hill was James Crutchley.

Crutchley won the King of the Hill last year in the same 2001 Mustang.

Tonight, Saturday, June 30 at Thunder Mtn Speedway it’s the Stampede Invitational with the bone stocks, pro minis, and street stocks. Plus it’s the first race in the Tri-City series and last year’s winner was Arnie Kunka of Williams Lake.

Spectator gate opens at 3 pm, qualifying begins at 5 and racing is at 6.
