Quesnel City Council gave the green light for the work back in January.
The changes include a new starter bank with deck, a three stair and hubba ledge, a double roller bump and an 8-foot quarter pipe.
New Line Skateparks had the successful bid for the project.
The total cost will be 300 thousand dollars.
The plan is to use 50 thousand dollars from general capital, 220 thousand in Federal Gas Tax money and 30 thousand from a Northern Development Initiative Trust grant.
