The Quesnel Volunteer Fire Department responded to a vehicle fire yesterday afternoon.

Fire Chief Sylvain Gauthier says they were called to Woodridge Road at around 1 o’clock….

“Upon arrival by members of Quesnel Fire Department and pick-up truck was fully involved, so the pickup truck is a total loss. The cause of the fire, basically right now what we’re looking at is electrical.”

Gauthier says no one was hurt.

He says the occupant was busy working on some machinery when he turned around and noticed that his vehicle was on fire.

Gauthier says the man quickly called 9-1-1 and they were on the scene quickly.
