Quesnel Mounties Make Arrest Thanks To Alert Citizen

A Quesnel man has been arrested after an alert homeowner reported a theft in progress today.

Corporal Madonna Saunderson, with North District RCMP, tells us what happened next…

“The RCMP quickly responded and were able to set up a perimeter in the rural area and eventually apprehend the indiviudal who had taken the ATV and abandoned it. The suspect was arrested and will appear in court at a later date.”

Saunderson says Police Dog Services from Prince George was called in to help track the fleeing suspect.

RCMP say the ATV was recovered but say that it had been damaged.

The investigation continues.
