Cariboo Schools To Get Provincial Money For Trades

Cariboo students will benefit from a 3 and a half million dollar announcement from the Provincial Government to buy new equipment to upgrade trades classrooms and workshops.

The Cariboo-Chilcotin School District will receive $177,429 for a metal lathe, TIG welder and table saw, while the Quesnel School District will get $55,799 for a table saw , lathe and router.

The money comes via the Ministry of Advanced Education, Skills and Technology.

The idea is to get high-school students early exposure to training to eventually get good-paying trades careers.
