This year the Cariboo Regional District will be celebrating its 50th anniversary.
In addition to the several birthday parties they have planned to mark this event, they’re also having a contest that everyone in the Cariboo is encouraged to enter.
CRD Chair Margo Wagner has the details.
“We’re now hosting a photo contest. We’re hoping to get some great photo’s of the region that we can use to promote the Cariboo and get some people to look at our Facebook page and celebrate the totally awesome beauty that we have in our region”.
Wagner said residents can post their photos on the CRD facebook page right up until 2pm on tuesday July 31st.
An independent panel of judges will pick the top three based on the quality of the photos and how well they represent the Cariboo Regional District then be posted on their Facebook page August 9th so residents can vote for the winning picture.
The one with the most likes at noon on August 23rd will be the winner of the grand prize a GoPro.
The Cariboo Regional District was incorporated on July 9th 1968.
