celebrating the family fishing weekend in the Cariboo

It’s the 19th annual family fishing weekend in BC.

In Williams LakeĀ SalĀ and Wayne Biffert’s man-made fishing holes will once again be holding an event to celebrate it.

For several years Biff’s Ponds is where anglers young and old, experienced and novice, have been coming, not only on this special weekend, but year round, to enjoy and try to land the big one as Sal Biffert explains.

ā€œThe ponds are stocked every year and they have been this year, so there’s every size of fish from i would say nine pounds to what is called a catchable which is about a poundā€.

Biff’s Ponds will be hosting a family fishing event this sunday morning starting at 10.

Other events being held in the Cariboo include Ten Mile Provincial Park boat launch hosted by the Quesnel Rod and Gun Club today (saturday) from 10 until 2 and tomorrow at Two Lakes in Alexis Creek.
