South Cariboo Search and Rescue was called in to assist Clearwater and Kamloops SAR with the recovery of the body of a 21 year old Kamloops woman June 13.
Cam Jansen of South Cariboo Search and Rescue says the woman fell 150 meters from a cliff in Wells Gray Park near Clearwater. He says, “We were called in to provide the haul team for the ropes, and backup if the recovery went south.”
The team helped to recover the victim, who was extracted using a long line helicopter rescue. The BC Coroner service and RCMP are investigating the incident.
