Public Avalanche Warning Issued

A special public avalanche warning for the South Coast, North Columbia, and North Rockies regions has been issued by Avalanche Canada

Avalanche Forecaster Joe Lammers explains the weather conditions that contributed to the warning being issued.

To be safe, Lammers says those headed out should ensure that they are informed (by checking the forecast at www.avalanche.ca/), equipped (by ensuring that they have a transceiver, probe and shovel) and educated (by having taken at least an entry level course in safety).
