RCMP Investigate Suspicious Death at Esk’etemc First Nation

The Williams Lake RCMP say the death of a adult female at a residence on the Esk’etemc First Nation is suspicious in nature.

RCMP were called for a report of a sudden death on Friday, June 1 at 3:10 pm.

“Upon police attendance, they discovered an adult female deceased,” said North District RCMP Corporal Madonna Saunderson.

“ During the course of the investigation the death appeared suspicious in nature and North District Major Crime was called for assistance and now has conduct of the investigation.”

Police continue to investigate and have no information to suggest that the public is at risk.

Esk’etemc First Nation is located 50 km south of Williams Lake at Alkali Lake.
