Quesnel To Show It’s Pride

The stage is set for Quesnel’s 4th annual pride parade.

It will take place tomorrow.

Martina Feldman is one of the organizers…

“We’re celebrating the 4th annual Quesnel pride on Saturday which is June 9th. We’ll be having some events in the park. Among other things we’ll have some music, i think we’ve got a yoga session lined by one of our local yoga studios. Those festivities will probably start around 1-30. Before then the parade will start around 1 o’clock.”

Feldman says they will meet at City Hall prior to the parade.

She says everyone is welcome…

“Absolutely, this is really, the underlining thought behind this is just to promote equality in the community, regardless of gender, sexuality, age, ethnicity. It is under the price parade thus we want everyone to come and join.”

Feldman says they encourage people to dress up in vibrant colors and just have fun.
