The City of Williams Lake has a new Fire Chief.
Erick Peterson who has served on the Delta Fire Department for the past fifteen years will be joining the organization starting on July third.
Peterson was deployed to Williams Lake by Emergency Management BC to assist in the Cariboo Regional District’s Emergency Operations Centre During last year’s wildfires.
Mayor Walt Cobb says “we are fortunate to have someone of his calibre lead our Fire Department and are confident that his leadership will greatly benefit our community”.
Peterson is a leader in Emergency Planning, Emergency Social Services, Public Education, Fire Prevention and Fire Operations.
