Crews with the BC Wildfire Service are actively extinguishing hotspots on the Allie Lake Wildfire that remains fully contained.
The Service said Tuesday that due to the significant progress on suppression and forecasted weather conditions it does not expect the fire to spread beyond its’ existing boundaries.
The incident management team that was assigned the fire has transferred responsibility back to the local fire zone.
Despite the recent cooler temperatures and precipitation, the Service reminds the public it is vital to be cautious with campfire use and any other activity that could potentially ignite a wildfire.
