Trail date set for accused in stabbing incident in Downtown Quesnel

A man accused of stabbing a man in the Petro-Canada gas station parking lot is scheduled to go to trial.

Colton Law, 34 years old, is due back in court on October 14; four days have been set aside in provincial court.

Law is being charged with one count each of aggravated assault and assault with a weapon.

Quesnel RCMP were called to McLean Street on January 8 of this year. Police, responding to a stabbing incident, say that a 40-year-old man was rushed to G.R Baker Hospital in serious condition.

The man was then airlifted to a larger centre for further care.
