100 Mile House RCMP responded to a report of shots being fired at a property just east of the community.
Sergeant Brian Lamb says the calls came in on Sunday (June 7) to Bissett Road.
“Police attended where two persons were located inside a vehicle. Both were arrested after controlled substances were observed inside.”
Lamb says a subsequent search of the vehicle turned up more.
“Numerous pieces of identification from various people were located and seized.”
Lamb says no offences in relation to firearms or the shots heard was established.
He says both suspects have since been released pending further investigation.
“Police will be continuing the investigation to determine appropriate charges in relation to potential possession of stolen property and drug offences.”
