100 Mile House Emergency Department closed most of Friday

Residents of 100 Mile House and the District will be once again without an emergency room tomorrow.

Interior Health says the Emergency Department at 100 Mile District General will be unavailable from 7 a.m. until 8 p.m.

The health authority advises that any patients in need of emergency care will have to access it at Cariboo Memorial Hospital in Williams Lake during this time.

All other inpatient services at 100 Mile District General will continue.

Anyone in need of life-threatening care should call 9-1-1 to be transported to the nearest available and appropriate facility.

Interior Health advises that anyone unsure whether an emergency room visit is warranted, or seeking other non-emergency health information, can call HealthLink BC at 811 or visit HealthLinkBC.ca.

This is the eighteenth time in 2026 that the Emergency Room in 100 Mile House has been closed.
