Teenager survives scary incident in Quesnel

Quesnel RCMP responded to an accident where a vehicle went down a steep embankment.

Police were called to the scene where the young driver had gone over a steep embankment on Blackwater Road, on Knickerbocker Hill, near the Quesnel Golf Course.

The Bouchie Lake Fire Department was called to the scene and assisted in the rescue.

Emergency crews assisted the driver, the sole occupant of the vehicle, in getting out of the vehicle and climbing up the embankment.

Police say the driver was assessed on scene by Emergency Health Services, then was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
