PG Kodiaks green lit to compete in the 2026 BCFC season

The Prince George Kodiaks confirmed they will be competing in the 2026 British Columbia Football Conference (BCFC) season.

This comes after an organizational restructure following a shake up that saw multiple board members, including the president and vice-president, step down.

The team said it was given formal confirmation by the league, as it continues working to financially stabilize, while maintaining high level football in the city and the north.

Team President Nicolas Fricke said “the new board, our volunteers, and supporters have put in an incredible amount of work to get us to this point.”

“The BCFC’s approval confirms that the Kodiaks are on the right track and ready to move forward. We’re excited to build something sustainable for our athletes and our community.”

Now, the team’s board of directors will be addressing the head coaching situation and ensuring all operational pieces are in place ahead of the upcoming season.

The organization is also preparing for its Spring Camp, scheduled for May 8th to 10th, allow returning players, new recruits, and prospective athletes to participate for the upcoming season.

Spring Camp details, including registration, will be released in the coming weeks.
