A Dust Advisory has now ended for Quesnel.
It was issued late yesterday afternoon by the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change Strategy in collaboration with Northern Health.
The Provincial Ambient Air Quality Objective for PM 10 is 50 micrograms per cubic metre (µgm-3), averaged over 24 hours.
The current 24-hour average PM 10 concentrations for
Quesnel and neighbouring communities are:
Quesnel 23.7
Willams Lake 27.9
Prince George 12.4
The hourly average values of PM10 in Quesnel are significantly lower due to recent precipitation and the air quality continues to improve.
