RCMP Investigating Sunday Morning Incident at Williams Lake BMO

Williams Lake RCMP is investigating an incident that occurred Sunday morning in which it appears that a vehicle was used to break through the windows of a downtown local bank.

RCMP Staff Sgt. Del Byron says that police were made aware of the incident at 3:45 am at BMO on Second Ave South and determined that the bank had been driven into with what appeared to a vehicle had fled the scene before police arrived.

Although there was quite a bit of damage, Byron says at this point police believe nothing was taken.

Byron says they are waiting for video surveillance of the incident and that it remains under investigation.
