Fatal Vehicle Incident Closes Hwy 20 East of Hanceville

Update: Highway 20 remains closed 8 km east of Hanceville following a fatal crash Thursday morning between a fuel truck and passenger car.

Alexis Creek RCMP and Williams Lake were called to the scene near the top of Lee’s Hill at 10:58 am.

“One person has died and another person was taken to hospital with undetermined injuries,” said North District Cpl. Madonna Saunderson.

“The investigation is in the early stages and details of the crash are limited.”

Highway 20 is currently closed to all traffic as the investigation continues.

Highway 20 is currently closed in both directions  8 km east of Hanceville following a fatal crash between a fuel truck and a car.

DriveBC reports that no detour is available and there is no estimated time of opening.

No further details are currently available.

MYCARIBOONOW has also updated this article from its’ initial report of the incident that said members of the Central Cariboo Search and Rescue are en route to a MVI that  is believed to be a fuel truck on fire on Highway 20 near Lee’s Corner.)
