An elderly woman was saved from a potentially fatal situation yesterday.
Wildwood Fire Department was quick to respond to a house fire after a call was made of smelling and seeing smoke.
Wildwood Fire Chief Randy Worsley credits a resident’s quick thinking and the swift response of the fire department for the notable outcomes.
“Concerned citizens reported quickly and the good response from the fire department not only saved a life this time but 90 percent of the home.”
Worsley encourages residents to take an active role within their community and says the fire department’s door is always open for recruiting.
