Crash South of Prince George Leaves One Dead

Prince George RCMP and North District Traffic Services responded Friday morning to a fatal two-vehicle crash on Highway 97 just south of Prince George.

The incident involved a passenger car and a pick-up truck on the highway and Damms Road.

One person was pronounced dead while another was sent to the hospital with serious injuries.

Police and emergency crews remain on scene and the roads were ice covered and snow packed at the time of the collision.

Anyone with information is asked to call the North District RCMP or Crime Stoppers.

The highway is currently reduced to single lane alternating traffic according to DriveBC.
