Yesterday (monday) afternoon Central Cariboo Search and Rescue went airborne to rescue an injured female snowmobiler in the Itcha Ilgachuz area in the Chilcotin.
Chief Rick White has this update
“Two of our members fly out to go rescue a female that herself snowmobiling. They found a 61 year old female, her and her husband are trappers in the area, and she hurt herself sunday. They got back to their cabin and thought that she might feel better on monday but she did not so they phoned BC Ambulance who contacted us and we flew in a chopper and picked her up and brought her to the Quesnel hospital around three o’clock yesterday”.
White said he heard the snowmobiler suffered minor injuries but they were to be determined at the hospital and that she should be ok.
