Williams Lake Armed Robberies

Williams Lake RCMP are seeking the public’s help following an armed robbery and an attempted armed robbery. Police say a lone male, his face partially covered with a bandanna, entered the 7-11 store on Proctor Street at around 9 o’clock on Sunday morning. He is then accused of brandishing a knife and demanding money. Police say he then fled the scene on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect is described as a first nations male with short black hair and he was about 6 feet tall with an average build. RCMP say a suspect matching this description, only wearing different clothing, entered “Movies on the Go” on 2nd Avenue North just before 10 o’clock later that night. Police say in this case a lone male, also wearing a bandanna to cover half his face and brandishing a knife, was challenged by the employee and fled the scene without any money.
