It was warm but nowhere near a record in the Cariboo yesterday.
The temperature hit 11 to 12 degrees in some areas.
Jonathan Bau is a Meteorlogist with Environment Canada…
“The records for today, in Quesnel was 20 degrees set back in 1902. The record in Williams Lake is 17.2 degrees and that is from 1992.”

Looking ahead, Bau says we can expect it too be a bit cooler today as a cold front moves through this morning bringing with it some rain….
“As we look towards the end of the week, we’re looking at highs around 8 degrees and lows just around zero, so a little bit warm for the overnight but just about average for the daytime highs.”
Bau says we can expect between 5 and 10 millimeters of rain today.
