A new terminal has officially opened at Anahim Lake’s airport. The building is 900 square feet and was built with energy efficiency in mind.
The inclusion of energy efficiency upgrades is hoped to cut the building fossil fuel consumption and carbon emissions by 80%.
The new terminal has a price tag of approximately $920,000 which was raised through various programs and grants including $400,000 from the Government of BC Towns for Tomorrow Program and roughly $200,000 from the Cariboo Regional District.
