An update on the incident was provided by RCMP this afternoon

Corporal Madonna Saunderson, with North District RCMP, tells us how the arrest was made…

“The police immediately attended the scene and quickly learned that the man was alone in the home at the time. After a successful negotiation the man was arrested at around 2-30 p.m. and thankfully nobody was injured during this investigation.”

Saunderson says the original call for help came in at around 1-09 p.m.
