Two Candidates Running in Next month’s By-Election for Area E

Two candidates have been announced for next month’s Area E by-election after the nomination period closed Friday.

Williams Lake business owner and Chair of the Downtown Williams Lake BIA, Angie Delainey has been nominated to run for Electoral Area E Director.

Also nominated is Melynda Neufeld who was the alternate Director for Area E. She is currently serving as the Director after having stepped in following the death of Byron Kemp in January.

“Advance polling will be available at the CRD’s Williams Lake office on March 28 and April 3, 2018,” said Chief Election Officer Alice Johnston.

“Polling station locations will be announced closer to the date.”

General voting day will be April 7, 2018.

Area E is the South Lakeside/Dog Creek area and has a population according to the CRD’s website of 4,129.
