The City of Williams Lake has approved a $250,000 funding application to the Northern Development Trust Fund to rehabilitate the Regional Airport runway.
Margaret Stewart, Director of Financial Services, says the runway is currently at a critical stage for replacement.
Stewart says another application for funding the $4.5 million dollar project had been submitted a few years ago.
The remaining $400,000 would be covered by the municipality which Stewart says would have no impact on the yet to be adopted 2015 budget.
The Williams Lake Regional Airport runway has not been resurfaced since 1997.
