A 40-year old Quesnel man is in critical condition following an assault.
A 9-1-1 call was received from a residenceĀ in the 600 block of Elm StreetĀ on SaturdayĀ night at around 9-30 requesting an ambulance for a man who had sustained life threatening injuries as a result of an assault.
RCMP and BC Ambulance Services attended and the victim was transported to G-R Baker Hospital in Quesnel before being transferredĀ to the University Hospital of Northern BC in Prince George.
The North District Major Crime Unit is now investigating along withĀ the Quesnel RCMP GeneralĀ Investigation Service.
Police believe this was a targeted attack and that the victim knew his assailants.
