Cariboo MPs are responding with disappointment to yesterdays federal budget and the spending deficits it contains.
Cathy Mcleod, MP for the Cariboo -Chilcotin says that she continues to be concerned about the governments spending.
Macleod says that “By 2022, the additional interest payments on our debt is going to be seven billion dollars. If you weren’t going into debt, you would have seven billion dollars to spend on these programs.”
Cariboo-Prince George MP Todd Doherty commented that “Debt and taxes do nothing to create jobs.”
