Three people were sent to hospital following a two vehicle crash in the South Cariboo, but it could have been much worse.
100 Mile House RCMP say the female driver of a northbound Ford Ranger lost control and came across Highway 97 near the intersection of Highway 24 and impacted the front of a southbound Dodge Journey, which was trying to avoid the collision.
Police say the Ford ranger came to a rest on its side in the ditch.
The accident happened this past Tuesday and police say the driver of the pick-up and two occupants in the Journey were taken to hospital with just minor injuries.
Deteriorating road and weather conditions are being blamed for the accident.
