RCMP Continue to Investigate Serious Crash Near Lac La Hache

There was a serious accident in the South Cariboo over the long weekend.

100 Mile House RCMP say they attended a two vehicle crash on Highway 97 near Lac La Hache on Friday.

Police say say two vehicles were travelling north when the one in the rear, a Chevrolet Equinox, impacted the front vehicle, which was a Honda Odessey van.

Police say the driver of the Equinox then lost control and rolled into the ditch, coming to a rest on the driver’s side.

The male driver had to be extradited and was first taken to 100 Mile Hospital before being airlifted to Kamloops with head injuries.

The man’s name isn’t being released but RCMP do confirm that he was from the 100 Mile area.

Meanwhile, the investigation into the accident continues.
