A boil water notice has been issued for the 108 Water System.
The Cariboo Regional District says the reason is because of the contamination of the system with total coliforms and e coli.
All users of the system are asked to use hand sanitizer after washing hands and to boil water for a minimum of one minute before drinking, washing, brushing teeth, washing dishes and even watering animals.
The CRD says an alternative is to use bottled water.
This notice will remain in effect until the public is otherwise notified.
