Future Of Quesnel Junior School To Be Announced Tonight ?

The future of Quesnel Junior School will be the topic of a meeting tonight.

Gloria Jackson, the Chair of Quesnel’s Board of Education, says it is at 6-30 at the school and that it is only for QJS parents and staff and that it will be followed by a broader meeting for the rest of the public at a later date.

We asked Jackson if the Provincial Government has responded to the Board’s capital request for a new school ?

“We’ll be sharing some information again tonight with the parents and then we’ll be doing some broader stuff tomorrow in the community, so we’ll let everyone know tomorrow what we’ve been working on.”

The Board has asked the Province for almost 29-million dollars to replace Quesnel Junior School.

Part of tonight’s meeting will be the results of an engineering study on the condition of the aging facility.
