big night planned for a first grad ranching class at TRU Williams Lake Campus

The first students to complete the Applied Sustainable Ranching program at TRU in Williams Lake will be honored tomorrow night.

In addition to this recognition a very special award to the top student completing first year in the program will also be handed out.

Gillian Watt Program Co-Ordinator for the Applied Sustainable Ranching Program explains.

“Bill Freding has been an icon in the agriculture industry. He actually started ranching in the Cariboo Chilcotin and he passed away last year, so his wife is coming up to the Williams Lake campus and they have very graciously donated over the next ten a hundred thousand dollars towards student awards for this program”.

The Applied Sustainable Ranching Program event starts tomorrow night at six at TRU in Williams Lake.
