More mailboxes in the Cariboo have been broken into over the weekend.
Last week mailboxes along Jacobson Road and Highway 97 right outside of Williams Lake were vandalized and now 14 rural mailboxes on Begg Road in Lac La Hache were broken into.
Staff Sergeant Svend Nielsen with the 100 Mile RCMP says it’s become fairly common around this time of year.
“You get different aspects with different gifts coming through the mail, typically that’s what happens this time of year, but typically they can be looking for general information.”
Nielsen says he feels the 2 incidents are related but nothing concrete that would connect them.
