The Williams Lake Fire Department was called out to a fire at a home on Lakeview Crescent just after midnight on sunday morning.
Deputy Fire Chief Rob Warnock describes what happened.
“When we arrived we had smoking out of the basement suite and once fire fighters entered the building they found a fire in one of the bedrooms. They were able to knock it down fairly quick and the basement suite suffered heat and smoke damage and the rest of the house just had smoke damage in it upstairs”.
Warnock said there were no injuries as everyone had gotten out of the house safely and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
