Interlakes Snowmobile Club Will Be Without One of Their Trails

Snowmobilers in the South Cariboo will have one less trail to ride along during the winter.

Marcel DeRepentigny, President of the Interlakes Snowmobile Club, says some property along one of their trails has been sold.

“Now that property in there was developed years and years ago, and at the time the real estate agent said it was fine to use the trails through there but once the properties sell, it becomes private property and that’s happened.”

The club will now be holding a meeting for their members and the public to attend at The Wildmans Restaurant on November 8th to come up with an alternate route.

DeRepentigny says they weren’t able to do any maintenance on the trails this year as well due to the wildfires, so it’ll be interesting to see the condition they are in.
