Quesnel Man Wanted In Alleged Shooting Now In Custody

Quesnel Mounties got their man…in this case 31-year old Cody Lornsten, who was wanted in connection with an alleged shooting in Prince George.

An arrest warrant was issued for Lornsten on Monday and he was taken into custody in Quesnel last night.

Lornsten lives in Prince George but is from the North Cariboo.

He was wanted in connection with an incident early Sunday morning.

Police say they received a report of shots fired in the Tamarack Street area and that a further investigation revealed that two individuals exchanged gunfire outside a residence.

One person was injured and a 20-year old Prince George man was arrested for Attempted Murder.

Lornsten is facing charges that include Discharging a Firearm With Intent to Wound or Disfigure and Possession of a Firearm Contrary to an Order as well as several counts for Breech of Probation.

He was scheduled to appear in court in Quesnel today.
