Quesnel Board Of Education OK With Delay To Changes To New Curriculum

Making sure they get it right.

That’s how Gloria Jackson, the Chair of Quesnel’s Board of Education, feels about the decision to delay the new curriculum for grades 11 and 12…

“The new curriculum is very, they’ve done a lot of work on it, so the implementation time will just give teachers more time just to be more prepared because there is a lot of changes to the new curriculum. But i think the biggest thing for everyone to recognize is this is an opportunity to get it right because there are so many changes, get it right and make it so we can better prepare them for future opportunities.”

The transition for grade 11 and 12 will now happen in July of 2019.

Grade 10 will go to full implementation in July of 2018.
