The Boys and Girls Club of Williams Lake & District is once again offering a night of scares through their annual haunted house.
“What makes it continue is all the staff and all the youth that put their hard work in every single year,” says outreach worker Dana noting this marks their 11th year.
“We completely transform our building, we tarp everything, we have fog machines, we have youth come in and setup. It’s a pretty big project but it always works out really well.”
Dana says the theme of this year’s haunted house is haunted holidays which will offer a creepy twist on regular festivities.
“Our phrase is always we intend to scare so please leave little ones at home,” says Dana.
“We do have people who come in with younger children but they tend to be quite scared so we always just suggest that the younger kids stay home but we do say that everybody is welcome.”
The haunted house located at the Club on south fourth avenue across from Safeway will be open for visitors from 7 pm until 9 pm Friday and Saturday (October 27 & 28).
Admission is through the donation of a non-perishable food item which will support needy youth as well as those who use their drop-in center. Monetary donations will also be accepted.
